We've got 40 embryos on offer by two different sires and by some of our special donors. Just want to walk that through with you.

The first Sire we selected was a Baldridge SR Goalkeeper. Somewhat of a new sire, but with a pedigree that is so predictable, and one that we really got excited about.

The other Sire we selected, Sterling Pacific 904, is a little bit different, although he shares the same grandmother in Baldridge Isobel Y69.

We're sure are excited about the matings that will come from Barnett Disco Girl N4, Barnett Nefertiti N6 and Barnett Nefertiti N8.

We are talking to you about Barnett Rollo R5 today, one of our young sire prospects, which we're quite excited about, and also 2 Semen Sires (Barnett Command Q6 and Barnett Dusty Q7) we have bred, and we compare them with some others in the industry.

We've got semen available on these bulls and we thought we would just compare them with the industry standard bearers.

So we've done what we call a ‘Dare to Compare’. The BarnettAngus Semen Sires with the bulls that have hit the headlines this year.

We've talked about the Donors, but today we're going to talk about the Sires.

The first one we're going to start off with is one that we all know about: Millah Murrah Paratrooper P15 broke records, quite some time ago, it seems, actually at $160,000. He’s a Compliment 8088 grandson.

Of course you can't go past Texas Iceman R725 and his mother, the Undine H647 cow. She has got a track record, which is hard to beat. Texas Iceman R725 is by the American sensation, POSS Maverick. POS Maverick sired a bull recently that was sold for almost a million bucks in the United States, which is not too shabby.

I want to talk to you about our donor cows today. We're very excited about what we've got on offer from these girls.

We started out, with three donor cows quite some time ago; two of which have really bubbled to the top J23 and J53.

And we've a number of their progeny in the donor herd that we want to share.

In this interview I had the pleasure of engaging with Harvey and Michael and get their views on the Dec 2nd offering on Elite Livestock.

Harvey visited the herd and viewed the recipient program about a month ago along with Peter Daniel (MD of GDL) and one of their long-time commercial clients – Mick Gibson.

Michael was the auctioneer who sold us a couple of our donor cows as well as officiating at the Texas Angus sale with Harvey when Texas Iceman – one of our feature mating sires – was sold for an Australian record price.

Millah Murrah Paratrooper P15 x Barnett Disco Girl N4

Two confirmed pregnancies are to sell on Dec 2nd via Elite Livestock at the Barnett Beef Pregnancy Sale.

The combo of Angus style, type and natural thickness makes this mating of Barnett Disco Girl N4 to Millah Murrah Paratrooper P15 very exciting.

One of five disco girls that are flushed sisters, obviously by Discovery out of Strathewen Regent Mittagong J23 - super growth stats, carcase weight of +98 and IMF for 3.6. A big volume cow with tremendous depth and width.

Barnett Fail Safe Q10, a Fail Safe daughter out of Aussie Girl N12, who again goes back to the J23 original donor cow.

Super carcass weight on this animal with a +90 and an IMF of 3.1, just a framey, angular, long sided, very feminine animal.

We also told you, we would have some special news about a Sire Prospect that we have on offer. He's only a youngster. His name is Barnett Rollo R5 and he's a GAR Scale House son.

So, he's got the power and background of that dominant sire in the United States. And he's out of Barnett First Lady N11 which goes back to STRATHEWEN REGENT MITTAGONG J23 our super donor cow and is by V A R GENERATION 2100.

I'll tell you what, we've got something a little bit special here. Obviously, when you got to put embryos in, it's not a cheap exercise, so you got to get it right. Unless you get the mating right and get your criteria right it could be not as good as you'd like.
